From Feeling Small to Walking Tall.

We don't just teach literacy. Because when children believe in themselves, everything changes.

You're not imagining it

You've seen their frustration. The resistance. Maybe you've even heard them call themselves "dumb." When your child struggles with reading and writing, it can feel heartbreaking — for both of you.

Literacy is a skill — but most struggling students simply haven't been given tools that truly work for them. With the right approach, things can shift, sometimes quickly.

Performance improves. Confidence builds. Attitudes change. Your child starts to believe in themselves again — not just at school, but in life.

That's what we do.

Why it works

Caring, and built on evidence — not guesswork.

We meet your child exactly where they are — without pressure, shame, or the idea that they "should" already know more. Then we teach the way the research says children actually learn to read and spell: explicit, structured instruction, carefully sequenced so every new skill rests on a solid one.

Nothing is left to chance or guessing. Spelling becomes a system your child can reason through, not a list to memorise. Reading is built on accuracy first, then fluency. And with just the right amount of spaced practice between sessions, progress becomes natural — and confidence grows along the way.

No cramming. No overwhelm. Just the right support at the right time, from experienced educators who know how to bring out the best in your child.

Here at CDS Interventions we know from experience — success breeds motivation.

Who you'll be working with

T

Hi, I'm Tim.

As a neurodivergent educator, I understand how hard learning can feel — and how powerful it is to be seen, supported, and encouraged.

Over the past decade, I've helped students enter high school with Grade 1 reading levels — disempowered and convinced they're "just not smart" — and watched them graduate with books in their bags, pride in their voices, and a spark in their eyes. This transformation drives everything I do.

I now run private literacy programs and consult with schools to build approaches that actually work — grounded in evidence, delivered with care, and designed to give every child the chance they deserve.

The difference it makes

Real progress, measured every step.

We track every session, so growth isn't a feeling — it's something we can show you. A few examples from students we've worked with:

Start with a baseline.

Every child begins with a full diagnostic assessment — reading and spelling testing, an analysis of exactly where the gaps are, and a written report with a chat about what comes next. Comparable clinics charge $250–500 for this. With us it's included, because I want us both to know exactly what we're working with before you commit to anything.
